I obtained my bachelor's degree from Stony Brook University of New York. Not too long after I graduated, I decided that I wanted to teach mathematics. Math was one of my favorite subjects, and I started teaching it to students in New York City. After a few years, I decided to move to Bermuda. I home-schooled my child while living there, and I also tutored math to both junior and high school students. I then decided to move to England, which is where I obtained my certification to teach math for grades six through ten. The students in my classes did so well that I was hired as a math tutor by the school. Before I began to help them, the students were doing poorly and really struggling. I worked with them based on their current knowledge and learning style, and then built onto that with the way I taught. I made sure that each student learned the subject matter well before I moved on. All of my students were able to pass their tests. I enjoyed doing this, as I loved to see the students I tutored do so much better with their academics. During my free time, I find that I enjoy reading, camping, traveling, geocaching, decorating, rescuing animals, DIY projects, and real estate.
